TOP DRIVE
Tesco 400HP/250ton EMI capable of producing 20,000 ft-lbs torque at 100 rpm.  The top drive is integrated into the mast.
TOP DRIVE ADAPTER FOR CASING RUNNING
Tesco 250 ton Casing Running System (CRS) for     9-5/8” to 4-1/2” casing and Contractor will provide two sizes. Eliminates the need for powered casing tongs or stabber in the mast.
 DRAWWORKS
H&P FlexHoist design powered by one GD GEB 22 AC motor.  The AC motors provide regenerative braking, and the drawworks has auxiliary disc brakes for emergency stop and parking.
 ENGINE/GENERATOR SETS
Two each Cat D3512B diesel engines @ 1476HP.  Total 2,952 HP.  Two each KATO 1,720KW generators supplying AC power to Omron IDM VFDs for mud pumps, drawworks, topdrive and auxiliary equipment.
 OVERHEAD STRING
150 ton split crown and traveling blocks with a 8 line string up of 1” drilling line.
 MAST
Proprietary H&P FlexRig design, 80’ clearance with 300,000# hookload.  Mast has integrated top drive rails and enables top drive to travel in mast during rig moves.
 SUBSTRUCTURE
Proprietary H&P FlexRig design, 16’ drill floor height.  The substructure is rated at 300,000# master bushing load, with 14’ clearance below master bushings support beams.  Rig floor and substructure provide an integrated drainage system for maximum fluid containment.
 DRILLER CONTROLS
OIDM/H&P electronic driller provides integrated controls and information monitoring.  The system is located in a climate controlled driller’s cabin.  A single joystick control enables hoisting and lowering. The block control system enables near steady state WOB while drilling.  The block control system can be used to control/minimize surge and swab pressures.
BLOWOUT PREVENTER EQUIPMENT
One 11” 3M double ram preventer and one 11” 3M annular preventer.  All BOPs meet API 16D.  One Shaffer 7 station accumulator, API 16E.  One 3” 3M choke manifold.  Includes BOP Handling System integrated into the substructure.
MUD SYSTEM
300 barrels total active capacity.  All process tanks are unitized on a common skid with 8 x 6 x 75 HP centrifugal pumps, one 16 cone desilter (960 GPM). Two King Cobra shale shakers.
MUD PUMPS
Two 1000 HP triplex pumps.  Each pump is driven by a 1350 HP AC motor and is unitized with flow through pulsation dampeners on both suction and discharge.
DRILL PIPE AND DRILL COLLARS
8,000’ of 4” range three drill pipe, twenty-four (24) 6-1/2” drill collars, ten (10) joints of 4 ¾” drill collars, and twelve (12) joints of heavy weight drill pipe.
PIPE HANDLING SYSTEM
Knuckle boom crane to move collars, drill pipe and casing (9 5/8” casing – 4” drill pipe) from pipe racks to V-Door Pipe Boom that transfers tubulars from a horizontal position to a vertical position at well center.  Varco floor mounted ST-80 iron roughneck capable of making up supplied drill pipe and collars.
AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT

  • Slickline unit with 9,000’ of 0.105 slickline.
  • H&P dedicated WAN, satellite based (for H&P communication).  Instant voice & data links with all H&P rigs, sites and offices.

SKIDDING SYSTEM
Hydraulic ram type skidding system complete with (2) sets of cylinders with reversible claws, hydraulic control console, (6) sections of skidding tracks with matting boards for active location, and (6) sections of skidding tracks with matting boards (leap frog) for the next location.  Skidding system will accommodate a 2 x 11 well pattern with a maximum spacing of 10 ft between the rows of wells x 7.5 ft spacing between wells within a row.  The system also includes a dragchain for all electrical and low pressure piping service to the substructure.

735 barrels total active capacity.  All process tanks are unitized on a common skid with two 8 x 6 x 75 HP centrifugal pumps, a vacuum degasser and one 16 cone desilter (960 GPM).  The slug, mixing and blending tanks are on common skid with two 8 x 6 x 75 HP centrifugal pumps and mixing hopper (dust collector included).  Three King Cobra shale shakers.  A separate skid incorporates two 51-barrel trip tanks with two 4 x 3 x 30 HP centrifugal pumps.
MUD PUMPS
Two Gardner-Denver PZ-11 1600HP triplex pumps. Each pump is driven by one 1320HP AC VFD motor.
DRILL PIPE AND DRILL COLLARS
10,000’ of 4 1/2” drill pipe, three (3) 8” drill collars, twenty-one (21) 6 1/2” drill collars, and fifteen (15) joints of heavy weight drill pipe.
PIPE HANDLING SYSTEM

3. Flex Rig 3

TOP DRIVE
Varco TDS-11HP 500 ton, powered by two 400HP AC VFD motors.  The top drive is integrated into the mast, and no incremental time is required for rig-up and rig‑down.

  • 27 1/2” rotary powered by one 150HP AC VFD motor.  For use in positioning tools, but not for drilling.
  • Rotating mousehole to assist top drive link-tilt with tubular handling including BHAs.

DRAWWORKS
Varco AHS-20SD 1500HP powered by two 1320 HP AC VFD motors.  The AC motors provide regenerative braking, and the drawworks has auxiliary disk brakes for emergency  stop and parking.
ENGINE/GENERATOR SETS
Three each Cat D3512B diesel engines @ 1476HP.  Total 4428HP.  Three each KATO 1205KW generators supplying AC power to Omron IDM VFDs for mud pumps, drawworks, topdrive and auxiliary equipment.   Provisions for a fourth engine/generator set.
OVERHEAD STRING
400 ton split crown and traveling blocks with a 12 line string up of 1-3/8” drilling line.
MAST
Proprietary H&P FlexRig design, 136’ mast with 750,000# hookload.  Mast has integrated top drive rails for TDS-11HP and enables top drive to travel in mast during rig moves.
SUBSTRUCTURE
Proprietary H&P FlexRig design, 25’ substructure rated at 750,000# rotary load with 400,000# simultaneous setback.   20.5’ clear below rotary beams.  Rig floor and substructure provide an integrated drainage system for maximum fluid containment.
DRILLER CONTROLS
Varco V-ICIS and Electronic Driller provide integrated controls and information monitoring to the driller’s station.  The system is located in a controlled climate driller’s cabin.  A single joystick controls the AC drawworks speed as required for hoisting and lowering. The Varco Electronic Driller and Block Control systems enable near steady state

WOB while drilling, and block speed controls minimize surge and swab pressures.
BLOWOUT PREVENTER EQUIPMENT
One 13 5/8” 10M Cameron type U or UM double ram preventer, one 13 5/8” 10M Cameron type U or UM single ram preventer, and one 13 5/8” 5M Shaffer annular preventer.  All BOPs meet API 16D.  One Shaffer 7 station accumulator, API 16E.  A 10M flexible choke line and 4” x 3” 10M choke manifold.  BOP Handling System allows nipple up and testing offline and out of the critical path.
MUD SYSTEM (Patented by H&P in 1998)
735 barrels total active capacity.  Eight covered cylindrical tanks with spherical bottoms and electric agitators for optimum mixing/blending and ease of clean out.  All process tanks are unitized on a common skid with two 8 x 6 x 75 HP centrifugal pumps, a vacuum degasser and one 16 cone desilter (960 GPM).  The slug, mixing and blending tanks are on common skid with two 8 x 6 x 75 HP centrifugal pumps and mixing hopper (dust collector included).  Each triplex pump is unitized with a suction tank and dedicated 8 x 6 x 60 HP charging pump for maximum efficiency.  Three King Cobra shale shakers are unitized on a hydraulically raised shaker deck.  A separate skid incorporates two 51-barrel trip tanks with two 4 x 3 x 30 HP centrifugal pumps.
MUD PUMPS
Two Gardner-Denver PZ-11 1600HP triplex pumps. Each pump is driven by one 1320HP AC VFD motor.  Each pump is unitized with flow through pulsation dampeners on both suction and discharge.  Equipped with P-Quip liner retention and rod system.

5” drill pipe, six (6) 8” drill collars, eighteen (18) 6-1/2” drill collars, fifteen (15) joints of heavy weight drill pipe.
